Foster Mantel Dimensions

Custom mantels will be built to fit your fireplace stone dimensions ("A","B",etc.) Each style also has some standard dimensions, shown below, that will affect final overall size. (Stock mantel dimensions are shown on box labels. Quick-ship and carved mantel dimensions are shown on another page.)

Overall width at top will be your inside width (see above) plus 2 legs plus 2 overhangs .
Overall width at feet will be your inside width plus 2 legs plus 2 outside feet .
Overall height will be your inside height (see above) plus cap & skirt height plus height "E"
Overall top depth will usually be as listed in chart. It will increase if your stone depth "B" is more than 2".
Inside width (I.W.) will be sized for your fireplace stone width "A". Your (I.W.) can equal "A" or be less if you wrap the mantel legs in front of the stone ( See brochure).
Inside height (I.H.) will be sized for your fireplace stone height "C". Your I.H. can equal "C" or be less if you wrap the mantel in front of the stone (see brochure).
